Feature Spotlight: Forms Are Now More Powerful Than Ever

04-25_Rolling Out Hidden Fields & Tree Surveys-15

Whether you are going door-to-door, phone banking, or collecting information online, your data collection efforts are only as good as the questions you ask. Crowdskout has always empowered you to create forms, quizzes, and surveys for your on- and offline efforts. Now we’ve added enhancements that will supercharge your workflow to help you ask the right question to the right person at the right time.

The first enhancement is our new feature, Conditional Logic, which allows you to ask targeted questions dynamically based on a form-filler’s previous answers. Using conditional logic within your surveys is a great way to prequalify audience members to take a specific action.

For example, if you are running a campaign for a local animal shelter, you might send out a survey to contacts without pets asking if they are interested in adopting in the near future. Your first question can qualify the survey-taker by asking a generic question like, “Are you an animal lover?” Then, if they say yes, you can ask, “Dog or cat?” to qualify them further, and in turn pose follow-up questions catered to their responses.

The use cases for conditional logic are endless–deploy this functionality to delve deep into what motivates your audiences to hold the views they do, or use it to plan for events more accurately as you funnel volunteers and attendees into different buckets.

At the same time, Crowdskout is also giving you more ways to categorize your audiences as they engage with your forms, thanks to another new enhancement, Hidden Fields. You can use hidden fields to submit a constant value with each form upon submission. For volunteer canvassers, they can add the hidden field “Form Collector” to always submit their name as the collector with each survey they give. Additionally, you might add unique identifying information to your hidden field to reference and segment on later.

These powerful improvements to Crowdskout Forms allow you to further automate your outreach so you can spend less time sifting through and executing repetitive tactics and more time connecting with your audiences in ways that matter.
